What a sweet smile! She is so adorable! It sounds like you are chugging along the best you can! I know a little of what that is like. Your words are so inspirational–realizing what’s truly important in life doesn’t always happen for everyone. I guess having a special needs child can enlighten you. It sure has for me!
We are all doing ok. My husband retired and that has created a whole new set of struggles for Collin. It’s a true test of their relationship! Ha! Ha! It’s so important to get him to connect with the outside world but he’s so content to shut everything out–including us! Having dad around all the time is quite annoying to him. Dad’s always trying to get him to exercise, eat right, shower, etc.! Our next step is to help him find a job. He’s quite capable, just finding the right fit is the difficult part.
We are also looking to the future–planning for the next chapter in Collin’s life–hopefully an apartment by himself or with a roommate. Maybe in a few years…Not sure he’s ready for that yet–maybe some day!
Take care my friend.
What a wonderful sight! She is so gorgeous. I hope you guys are doing well this summer. Kate
Oh Danae she is precious
