What a gorgeous picture. I know something of how much you must have needed that smile and I recognise those cheeks. I just had printed a load of pictures of Boo from January and February during the most intense period of his treatment for infantile spasms and he looked very similar (and similarly beautiful).
I cannot believe that I have only just discovered your blog (I am a rubbish blogger, sometimes). I am now following and catching up on your story and with your beautiful family.
I wish I could say something that would take the pain and frustration away and make things easier for Lydia and for you all. But what I can see clearly from your posts is that despite the pain and frustration you are a determined, loving and quite amazing family. And I hope that writing the blog helps you to work through some of the thoughts and feelings your new normal brings you. I find it very therapeutic.
Sending love and strength and I’m always here to chat (even if I’m across the pond) if you need to vent.
Thank you so much! I’ve been following your blog for awhile and “studying” it. 🙂 You have great writing and it is comforting to know other people get through this tough stuff. I very much appreciate your comment.
What a sweet little smile. Love those cheekers!
